I'm a 27-year-old website contractor. I got my degree from UNC at Chapel Hill, where I was introduced to the wonderful and flexible world of php and modern website programming. I'd designed some boring HTML pages a few times, but learning those newer techniques showed me a new potential.
What I really love is making sites work. I'm not a brilliant designer- I can and will assemble a wonderful, functional site. But working with others to make their sites work just the way they really want them, that's what I enjoy. Taking someone's vision and helping them breathe life into it, or helping to make their job easier and their daily operations run smoothly.
My primary specialty is small, customized content management systems. I help people get their ideas, content, and designs out on the web with a minimum of fuss and bother. I can also help debug and modify existing websites.
I like to start by talking to the client to explore all the possibilities of what they want, how they want it to work, and anything else that might be important. Once we're sure of what the job is, I start work.
Keeping the client up to date is very important to me. I want to make sure they're happy with the site as it progresses. At the end of the day, I want my clients to be proud of their site, and happy with the work I've done for them.
